We've changed our name!

More than Food | More than Cirencester

South Cotswolds Foodbank: A New Name to reflect our support

Cirencester Foodbank has formally changed its name to South Cotswolds Foodbank, marking a major milestone in more than a decade of service to communities across the region.

Founded in 2012 as a single centre in Cirencester, our charity has steadily expanded into a network of local hubs and a household delivery service supporting people across over 210 square miles. Today, households receive help from Avening to Lechlade, Northleach to the Wiltshire border, as well as many rural communities in between.

Head of Foodbank, Anton Wynn, said:
“We’ve always supported people across the Southern section of the Cotswold District, but our old name no longer reflected the reality of our work. This change helps make clear that support is available across the whole South Cotswolds.”

The name change aims to raise awareness among people who may not realise a local foodbank is available to them, strengthen community partnerships, and encourage more volunteers across the area.

South Cotswolds Foodbank continues to provide emergency food and support to people facing hardship, while also working to build financial resilience and reduce the need for foodbanks in the long term.
